Just Announced: Marion Brown and This Kind Of Punishment April 19 2019
We're excited to announce the addition of legendary free jazz saxophonist Marion Brown to our roster. Originally released in 1967 on Impulse!, his debut Three For Shepp lays down three startling originals and three tunes by Shepp – echoing his mentor's 1964 homage to Coltrane, Four For Trane.
Also, we have another long overdue reissue from NZ legends This Kind Of Punishment. 1987's In The Same Room, the band's final album, was originally released on Flying Nun and offers spiraling riffs, frenzied rhythms and antagonistic lyrics.
